Band not working? We'll get you back on the road to success

Gastric band with another provider in the UK or abroad? Not getting the results you expected?

We see many people who had their gastric band with another provider and who are failing to achieve the weight loss they had expected or been promised. Does this apply to you? Are you struggling to book appointments with your provider or are you unhappy with the quality of care. Perhaps aftercare is simply not available in the UK.

You may feel you want a different procedure but in most cases we can work with you to get your gastric band working. Only very rarely is the band, or the port, the problem and proper adjustment of the band is usually sufficient to solve the problem.

Are you experiencing...

  • Poor weight loss results? Careful evaluation with an adjustment under X-ray combined with nutritional advice and support from our experienced team will get you on the road to success

  • Vomiting or difficulty eating solid foods? Your band is most likely too tight which can be very dangerous. This can lead to pain, enlargement of the pouch, band slippage and -rarely- stomach perforation

  • Reflux / Hoarseness / Night cough / Frequent chest infections / Asthma symptoms? If you didn't have these symptoms before having a gastric band, they are likely to be due to over-tightening of your band

  • Pain over the port site? This may indicate that the access port has been poorly positioned in surgery, for example over the ribs or lower breast bone. As you lose weight, the port can protrude and cause chronic pain
