Aftercare is absolutely crucial to your success. That's why we provide the best service possible, including unlimited band adjustments in the first year to make sure you get off to a winning start. Our aftercare package includes:
- Healthier Weight post band surgery brochure, written by Dr David Ashton and given to you as you leave hospital
- Review of your gastric band at 2 weeks
- 1st band adjustment under radiological control to ensure smooth port location and accurate adjustment, usually at 8-weeks
Structured behavioural programme available to help you adjust to your new life with the gastric band
- Nutritional support and advice throughout the year from our nutritional advisor
- Unlimited band adjustments in the first year
- Scheduled weekly contact with an assigned Bariatric Nurse for first 8 weeks
- Monthly contact after the first 8 weeks with an assigned Bariatric Nurse for the next 10 months
- Regular support group meetings so you can meet and share success with other gastric band patients
- On going support after the first year as required
- 24- hour Emergency Helpline
- Free first year membership to the Healthier Weight Club
