How do I attach my pedometer to a belt or clothing with waistband?
Slide the clip onto a belt, waistband or horizontally hemmed pocket at roughly the mid-point between your belly button and your hip (see picture) and in a vertical position. As you look down at your step-counter it should be in line with the centre of your thigh (your trouser crease). If you have a security strap, attach the croc clip to a belt loop or waistband.
How do I attach my pedometer to a dress without a sturdy waistband?
Attach the pedometer to the waistband of your underwear in the same position as above. Use the security strap if you have one. One of the best things about DIGI-WALKER pedometers is that they are very simple to use. Whatever the model, no set-up at all is needed for measuring steps – you just put it on and start walking!
How do I make sure I am wearing my pedometer in the correct position?
- Wear the DIG-WALKER in the correct position as outlined in the guide (How to Wear Your Digi-Walker Pedometer) and re-set the step function to zero
- Walk 20 steps
- Without taking the step-counter off, simply open the pedometer and check the number of steps registered.
- If the count is 19, 20 or 21 it’s correctly positioned. If not, check and adjust the position of the pedometer and repeat the test.
If you are getting inaccurate counts for this test, check to see you have the step-counter in the correct position. You may have to experiment to find the best placement for your body type. For example, if you have a protruding tummy you may need to position it at the side of your hip, as it must remain in a vertical position (plane) to function properly.
Happy walking !
