What Makes Healthier Weight Different?

Trying to make an informed choice between different weight loss surgery providers can be difficult. All tend to make similar claims and there is no obvious way to assess the quality of care you will receive. Every day we explain to patients the differences between what is provided by a reputable specialist weight loss surgery provider and the cheaper options offered by cosmetic and overseas providers. Of course, one simple differentiator is cost and this is often the first – and sometimes the only - consideration people take into account. Where surgery is concerned, we believe this to be a serious mistake as although cost is important, long-term weight loss and increased life-expectancy are much more important. Long-term success requires long-term support from a team of bariatric professionals, and that expertise simply isn’t available on the cheap.
