Laura's Gastric Band Journey - Week 35

Laura turns to comfort food as she's been feeling under the weather

This week I have been so super poorly. I’d been bed bound for 3 days with flu and it felt like it took forever to recover. I also had a work trip booked so I took so many vitamins to try to recover. I went away to an ‘indulgent training’ which was 3 days of high tea and private dining. I skipped the high teas as scones as they would just get stuck for sure, but it actually didn’t bother me. I ordered more of the soft textures, such as soup, risotto, fish etc. as I didn’t want to be caught out by a stuck moment at such a high event. It went well but I was still feeling pretty lousy and did reach for more comfort foods trying to get that energy, which will definitely bring me back down I think.
