Lisa's Gastric Band Diary - Week 26

Although there's no loss for Lisa this week, she's noticing big changes in her body!

Non-scale victories are keeping Lisa feeling positive. She won't let this get her down! 

Hi everybody. So this week has been an okay week actually. I've not had a loss, but I have maintained. So I'm really happy with that. I'm still edging very very close to those size 16's. I think some of the reasons why I've probably not had a loss this week is because I've been working a lot. I've had loads of stuff on with the kids and it's been my own fault. I've not prepared my meals so I've been having quick fix snacks. The portion sizes have still been small, but making sure that I am having what I should be. Like enough salads, enough protein not loads of carbs. Next week I'm adamant that things are going to change. I've got a relatively calm week, so I've got plenty of time to prepare my food. Still having the three meals a day, that's one of the main things and something that I found really important because that has really helped me. Having my three meals a day means I'm not snacking and if I do find that I am getting a little bit hungry, I'm just going to go back to the little mini packets of fruit that you can pick up from the supermarket. I think you get five for one pound/one pound fifty something like that so not massively expensive. They’re really handy just pop in your handbag and off you go. So yeah those are my goals for next week.

In regard to me though, still feeling healthy. I feel really energized. Little things like my nails are starting to grow quite long now. Normally I always used to have false nails on, I don't know if it's because my healthy lifestyle is changing things but little things like that I've noticed. My nails starting to grow, my complexion - I can start to see it's different now. I think these are all things that do become more apparent. Obviously as I said, I'm not quite into a sixteen yet but I think I’m going to be there quite soon. Other signs and things I've noticed are that I have dropped a bra size, again! So cup size and back size have gone down again, which is interesting. So yeah, it's weird. Even though I'm going down with that, I've not gone down dress size. But obviously every person's body shape is different so, just because I've not gone down in top sizes, I'm not gonna get really down about it because I can see my body's changing it just obviously all going to take time to catch up with itself so I am in no rush. But because I can see the changes now I am really happy. So rounding off this week has been a good week. I am going to aim for a two to three pound loss next week just to kind of give me that little bit of an extra boost. It will be nice to see a two or three pound weight loss but in general it's been a great week. Not had fill number three yet but that is something that I'm going to get re-booked. I should have had it a couple of weeks ago but couldn't make the appointment so I had to cancel it and reschedule, so that should be coming up soon. Good times, good times ahead.
