Lisa's Gastric Band Diary - Week 33

Lisa's lost another 3 pounds this week and is already thinking about Christmas parties. How does she feel in her size 14 skinny jeans?

Lisa is overwhelmed with how much weight she's lost!

Hey everybody,

Errm so, this week has been a pretty good week actually,

I've lost again, I've lost another 3 pounds this week so heading in the right direction.

I can kind of feel that my hunger is creeping back but I'm not going to book in for that next fill yet. I'm just going to see if I can play it by ear and see if I can keep the portions down. Try and, just try and like, not make the hunger go away, it's really weird, obviously you need a lot of willpower anyway and I'm using a lot of willpower, but I think that if I were to go for another fill it would be a really small one and think for the sake of maybe like another week, two weeks, just seeing how it goes. I think it's probably worth while doing that before I go and get another fill. So that's the plan. I'm going to see how things go for the next couple of weeks and then and if things still are the same, I'll get fill number four. But yeah, you know, we'll just see how it goes.

I'm still feeling really good. I've had a loss so that's fantastic and I'm kind of venturing out a bit more into you know, different foods. I've got a lots of vegetarian friends who eat, you know some of the food is just ridiculously healthy and before, I'd never even entertain it. And you know, I went round to theirs the other day and it was absolutely gorgeous. It's given me loads and loads of ideas now because I were kind of finding myself getting a bit stuck. I was eating a lot of the same kinds of thing and there was a lot of variety, but you know, I'm kind of what, seven or eight months in now so things are starting to repeat a bit so the fact that I've got more ideas now was absolutely fantastic. That's really really good.

My dress now fits. So I'm really really happy with that as well. I'll be wearing that for my Christmas party. I'm still kind of like borderline 14/16 in jeans. So I bought a pair of 14 skinny jeans. They go up and they go over my bum, they do fasten, I've got to pull a bit to fasten them, they do fasten but you can kind of see errm, what is it they call it... muffin muffin top [giggles], you can see where you know there's still that little bit errm, so although I can get in them, I'm not comfy in them. So the size 14 jeans aren't quite there yet but a size 14 dress I am, so really really happy.  I reckon probably next four weeks or so I should be able to comfortably wear them and I just can't believe it. You know, when I first started this journey I was a 22 and you know, if I even attempted to put a 14 on, then I'd probably rip it. Even though it's been, like I said, like I'm in month 7/8 now, even though it's been a long time, it's kind of ... It's just really really crazy thinking about how far I've come. A 14 is so much .... yeah.... I've really not got words for it. I think only when you've kind of been in that situation and then you get the weight loss, you can only really understand how it feels, and it's just an amazing feeling. Errm, obviously I'm still not at my goal yet, as I said before I'm not really going in weight, I don't have a goal weight, but I do have a goal dress-size. I'd love to be a 10, is it possible? Maybe, but realistically I'm looking at a 12. So you know, getting into this 14, I've got one more dress size to go and then I'm at my goal dress-size and it would just be amazing. You know, I think next year about holidays and that I've got coming up and I'm really looking forward to them you know. None of that being worried about what I'm wearing you know. Am I going to have to cover up this and cover up that? I'm actually really really looking forward to go and I have actually planned, pre-planned ahead and I've bought myself a size 12 dress. So, you know I think it's quite a realistic thing. July next year, there's no reason why, as long as I stay on track, keep focused, keep on exercising, I don't see any reason why I shouldn't get there.

So all in all this week, again has been a good week. I'll speak to you all next week and let you know how I'm getting on.
