Tracey's Gastric Band Journey - Week 34

Webready - Week 34.jpg
After a long weekend and a tough week, Tracey is finding herself snacking in between meals. Can she stay positive and stick it out?

Day 217-223 post op

A week indoors means snacking is becoming increasingly hard to resist...

Had a long weekend in Blackpool. We didn’t do a lot of walking due to Storm Brian sending torrential rain and gale force winds. I’ve never been so cold in my entire life. I brought hat scarf and gloves just to try to stay warm. I’ve never owned a hat before, it must be because of the weight loss that I’m so cold!

Half term usually means days out, trips to the park and lots of walking. Unfortunately, my 6 year old has been poorly so we’ve been stuck in house with no sleep for 2 weeks - and lots of snacking. A totally awful week in all ways possible, but surprisingly I’m not beating myself up about it. I’m quiet positive that it’s a blip, and once he’s better, I’ve had some sleep and had my fill, things will improve. It’s not the end of the world.  What a turn around! Usually I’m feeling like it’s the end of the world and I’ve failed at one thing or another, but guess what I haven’t. I’m still over 4 stone lighter than I was 10 months ago. I got more energy than I’ve had for years and we all have bad days. Things happen that are out of our control sometimes…
