I’ve had a great week getting out and about, we’ve made the most of the better weather and I’ve managed to slip out of work at 5 most days so we could enjoy the lighter evenings. We live just a 5 minute walk from a large country park and I’m ashamed to say we have only been over there once in 3 years!
We have made up for it this week though strolling over most evenings with the kids and the dog and walking around for an hour, it feels great to know I can walk for so long now without even getting out of breath – just before this op I remember feeling out of breath and my back aching just walking to my car from work. I realised the other day that I haven’t had backache in weeks, it’s so strange as it used to be part of my daily life sitting down every few minutes because of my back and now it’s gone and it took me weeks to realise!
We have our holiday in Wales coming up in 2 and a half weeks and we have also booked a week in Spain for the 20th July so I am setting myself mini goals to achieve for both holidays – to be under 17stone for Wales and to be under 16 stone for Spain, I think now I have finally started incorporating some exercise into my day then it will be more than achievable.
