My gastric sleeve story: Week 18

Well I am in Wales and we have been so lucky with the weather it’s been 21-22 degrees most days! We have been swimming, walking, go-karting and all sorts! I thought I would struggle to stick to healthy eating but we have done a BBQ most evenings so I have just had a couple of Quorn sausages and some salad and for breakfast I've had beans on toast or omelette. There is a Starbucks here though so I've had my fair share of lattes but have made sure they are made skinny with sugar free syrup!

My Dad, who is American but has lived in Luton since I was born, has sprang it on me that he’s getting married in America on 24th June this year and my brother and I have decided to fly over to be there and meet all of our American side of the family! We leave on 21st June and will be cramming in a lot of travelling between Chicago, St Louis & Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. I would not have dreamt of doing something so impulsive just a few months ago but since my surgery and especially the last few weeks I'm feeling confident, happy and have a sense of adventure that was seriously lacking before. And it’s yet another thing to aim for losing more weight for!

I am really missing my weighing scales this week, the kids went on a bungee trampoline today and had to be weighed first to see how many ropes were required and I was so tempted to hop on myself and check my weight but there was a crowd and I bottled it!
