I have been keeping up with the swimming, I’ve been going 3 times a week before work and I have had my induction for the gym which I found quite tough, it lasted an hour and a half and we basically had to try each machine for 5-10 mins whilst the instructor explained it to us. I was fine on the bike and treadmill but after 5 mins on the cross trainer I was hot, sweaty and praying she would hurry up and finish talking so I could get off, it was a killer!
I enjoyed the weight machines and think my routine will be a 20 min uphill fast walk on the treadmill followed by a circuit of the weight machines and I’m aiming for once or twice a week after work, that along with horse riding at least once a week means I’ll clock up at least 30 mins exercise 6 times a week! I would have laughed my head off a couple of years ago if someone told me I’d be exercising and it wasn’t because a monster was chasing me!
Diet wise, I have cut out my lattes completely as they were adding 200-300 cals a day and have gone for flat white coffee instead and I can honestly say I don’t even miss them, as long as I get my caffeine fix I’m fine!
