My gastric sleeve story: Week 7

I have had a very busy week, I worked 8am-7pm all week to catch up so I could have Friday off to head off to London. We managed to squeeze in so much, The dungeons, London eye, Shrek's adventure, Madam Tussauds, Sea Life centre, Charlie & chocolate factory show, a ghost bus tour and The tower of London!

According to my app I walked 15,475 steps on Saturday and 16,445 on Sunday! My legs were seriously aching but I was actually amazed I managed it and not only that, I actually felt great for getting in some exercise! As we got back so late last night and I was back at work early this morning I haven't had a chance to weigh myself but I will first thing tomorrow. I barely ate all weekend either as we were rushing about so much that we kind of forgot about food but I did end up drinking a bottle of full fat coke as we stopped for drinks from a street vendor and they had nothing left that was still or diet and I was so thirsty! It is the first time I have had a fizzy drink since my surgery and I am not sure why I am not supposed to drink them but I'm sure I have read in my literature to avoid them. It didn't cause me any discomfort or anything but I felt very guilty about the sugar content - something that I wouldn't have given a thought about before the op!

I have my Barium swallow X-ray tomorrow in Birmingham to check my sleeve is at it should be, so I need to remember to ask the nurse about fizzy drinks at the appointment.
